How To Wear Purple Eyeshadow

Hello, my name is Karla Barchieri. I'm a freelance makeup artist, and today, I'm going to show you a few makeup tips. Now, this is my take on how to wear purple eye shadows.

My model already has purple eye shadows on but she wants to know how to make it more wearable. Purple eye shadows are perfect for her colour of eyes and this is because brown and purple suit each other very nicely. You can see that even though she's got a basic application of purple eye shadows, her eye pops and looks beautiful.

But we will make it more wearable by applying more things like contouring the eye and applying eyeliner and a mascara, and so you'll see how our makeup is going to take. To do this, I'm just going to get a little bit of black to contour the eye. This is going to make this look more serious but because she already has the purple there, I'm just going to shade that purple a little bit darker.

I'm not going to go too much. Just to contour the eye and this, you do right on the eye socket. Right on the eye socket, that's where I'm touching on with the brush and I'm sweeping very lightly, just very very lightly, with this brush.

I'm not poking the eye. I'm just being very careful with it but at the same time, making sure that the colour shows. This is to give her definition on her eye.

You can go out more. It is up to you how strong you want this makeup to look. But in my case, I just want to make it a little stronger and apply eyeliner and mascara to make the eye shadow pop.

Okay, so I'm going to get my gel liner. It's a gel liner from Mac. Now, I'm just going to get rid of the excess in a slanted square flat brush.

Just going from the outside in, from the outside to the center and then you turn around the brush, and this slanted bit, you make it from the inside of the eye to the center and both lines meet. And before you wing that, so I'm just going to make this slightly thicker, okay, so if you're pressing the product, you will see the amount of product that you can actually apply without using too much. Okay, so now I'm bringing it out.

I just want to bring a lot out so that it will be more intense. After that, just get your mascara and just apply mascara. Look down for me.

Open your eyes, please. You're just going to grab the lower lashes. Later on, you can clean the excess.

Now, look down. Now, we're going to get the upper lashes very quickly. You can apply as many coats as you want with this mascara, okay.

So, I'm going to pass again with a little bit of purple, okay. So, this frosty purple that I got, I'm just going to put it there, and now, I'm going to apply a little bit of the strong purple that she has on the outside just to make it more intense. Okay.

With the black pencil liner, you go there on the water line just very quickly, okay. Push the lid down so that you can actually grab the water line easier, okay, and you can go over on the line that you just did to make it more intense. Now, you can wear this look for evenings or a restaurant in the evening or something that requires elegance because it's a very elegant look.
