Silk is often associated to being formal and vintage. But its modern makeover has made it more wearable for daytime, evening, the office and for the weekend.
So today, I'm going to give you some tips on how to wear silk tops. Silk is something that used to be quite retro, sort of vintage and quite formal with pretty bow blouses and things like that. But it's actually had a bit of makeover in recent years and so you get things like this that Lily's wearing.
It's a very simple silk tunic sort of t-shirt with zipped detailing which looks great for day and even for the office with tailored trousers. Here's another option, something that's quite modern, again with zipped and tie detailing. This is good for like a weekend evening look and with jeans and heels.
You could go for something a bit more classic, more like a silk shirt but this one's got a sort of cowgirl kind of detailing on the pockets and the buttons. That's really good and also works equally well sort of for weekend or work, lots of option with that one. And another option for silk is that it's one of those great materials that you can layer up.

So, this is a silk biker jacket so it's giving the biker jacket a bit of a makeover and it looks great layered over another silk top or equally over a t-shirt and with jeans, something quite relaxed for the weekend.
