Hello there. I'm David Morris. In 2003, I went over to America and I won the title “World Champion Whistler” and I'm here today to hopefully help you improve your whistling.

“How to whistle low”. You need to form a larger aperture in the mouth and the tongue needs to be really low in your mouth right down at the back of the throat. You need more breath as well to play low notes.

This is a piece, excerpt from a piece called “Shower dust” (whistling…). So when you're whistling a low section, you need a lot more breathe than when you're whistling a high section. So obviously you need to take bigger breaths, so for example again, (whistling…).

And when you do take big breath it's important as a performer if you're using a cordless microphone to make sure the microphone drops right away from your mouth, so that the breathe isn't picked up. So that's how to whistle low notes and to control the breathing in low sections.
