Hello there. I'm David Morris. In 2003, I went over to America and I won the title “World Champion Whistler” and I'm here today to hopefully help you improve your whistling.

“How to whistle to music”, to be the all around whistling soloist, you need to be able to whistle two ways. One needs to whistle with a live orchestra or with a backing track to music. The best way to do this is to familiarize yourself with the piece and its entirety, you know, with the solo line on.

And then when you're really confident of how everything fits together you can select a backing track from a leading music shop somewhere and without the solo line of course, and then you can perform the piece as a concert item. The way I did my three CD's was to have the raft band or the orchestra record each piece as a backing track and then I put my solo line on at another studio and then you end up with a very nice CD like that. An important thing when whistling to music is practice.

And you really need to familiarize yourself with the whole piece so that when the solo line has been removed and you've got your backing track from the shop, you're confident that you can whistle the solo part just as good as for example the person singing it or playing it on a musical instrument in its original form. When you've practiced it, it's always a good idea to try it out in front of some friends, or your wife and to see if it's good enough to perform then in a concert or in an after dinner performance like I do a lot of. And then you're ready to whistle to music, (whistling)….
