Hi, my name is Charles Scott, and I'm an administrator at thepikaclub.co.uk.
I've been playing Pokemon for over 10 years, and, yes, I have caught them all. In this video, I'm going to teach you how to win at Pokemon. Now, it's a bit of a widespread net, but all I'm going to do is teach you a few little tricks to make your Pokemonteam one of the best, in order to beat anything you come across.
The first thing you need to focus on is type. With 17 different types available to choose from, it can be tough to cover all of them. This is a type chart, and what it shows is what type of Pokemon move, here, is effective, or not, against the type that a Pokemon is, here.
Now, with Pokemon able to be multiple types, you might have to scroll down a couple of these columns in order to find something that's super effective, the circles, and not something that's triangled or crossed. So what you want to do is, first of all, build a team of 6 that is a wide variety of different Pokemon types, so that when moves hit you, you're not going to be damaged too much. The other thing you'll want to do is, when focusing on moves.
Each Pokemon should know at least 1 move of its type, and 1 move of something completely different. This gives you a wider variety of attack types to choose from for any situation, and can also cover a weakness. A dark-type Pokemon that can use a psychic-type move can counter a fighting-type that's trying to attack it, as fighting-types are super effective against dark-types.
Another example would be a fire-type that could learn an electric move, thus countering the water-type, its weak two. Lastly, there's the abilities. Now, abilities are something that each Pokemon has, and can affect the outcome of a match in various ways.
Some aren't that useful, but others, such as Levitate, can mean that your Pokemon could actually avoid ground-type moves, and thus can actually empower you to be more effective in a battle. It's focusing on things like this to start off with that can help decide whether you win or lose a battle. There are many more advanced techniques that you can learn, in order to win a battle.
However, we can't cover them all in this small video. So, go to Pokemon fan sites, like thepikaclub.co.
uk, and we can help you out learning even more techniques.
