I'm going to tell you how to wipe an iPhone. If you get a new phone and you want to recycle or sell your old phone, it's always a good idea to erase all the data. Connect your iPhone to the computer via the USB port.

Go into iTunes on the computer, click on summary page, click on restore, and this will restore the iPhone back to factory settings. Once that's done, all the data is erased and your phone is ready to go. If you want to wipe an iPhone, connect to iTunes, click on summary, click on restore, and that will restore it to its factory settings and all the data will be gone.
