How To Wrap A Bottle
Wrap A Bottle. Arona Khan shows us a stylish way to gift wrap a bottle. The present might be obvious, but the presentation will give you bonus points with your loved ones.
Step 1: You will need
- cylindrical bottle
- Wrapping paper
- Double sided adhesive tape
- Matte tape or clear tape
- Curling ribbon
Step 2: Measure the paper
Measure enough paper to go around the bottle. Leave a little extra to create a neat edge. Make a small incision with your scissors so you remember where to trim the paper.
Step 3: Measure the ends
Leave a couple of inches above the top and cut a notch at the point where you need to trim the paper. If the base is flat, leave enough paper around the end to cover half the depth of the bottle.
Step 4: Trim
Cut the paper to size and fold one side over a little to create a neat edge.
Step 5: Stick together
Secure the paper around the bottle with double sided tape.
Step 6: Fold the end
At the base, if the paper overlaps, cut out the overlapping section from the inner flap to make it tidier. Then, starting with the inner part, bring the paper towards the centre of the base little by little in neat overlapping folds.
Seal with matte or clear tape. Rub the tape until it blends in with the paper.
Top tip - use matte tape if the paper is matte or clear tape if it is glossy.
Step 7: The bottle neck
Stand the bottle upright and gather the paper at the bottom of the bottle neck. Tie some curling ribbon around the neck. Push the paper out from around the bottle and bring the paper together at the top.
Fold the top and secure with double sided tape. Trim the ends so they are even.
