How To Wrap Your Ponytail

How To Wrap Your Ponytail

A great short video that explains how to wrap your ponytail to perfection. http://pursebuzz.com

Step 1: Side Ponytail

Hi, there. Welcome to Pursebuzz.com, today I'm going to show you one of my favorite new hairstyles. It's very simple. Its just a side ponytail but instead of actually having a nice clip or like a rubber band; when I say rubber band I mean these clear ones, because I know there's a lot of talk about it going back and forth.

Step 2: Hair Rubber Bands

They're hair rubber bands. They're clear. No, it doesn't rip out my hair or anything like that. I get these at Ulta. They're by Hot Tools. Super inexpensive, I think they're two dollars. Don't buy the ones at the ninety nine cent stores, because they will break.

Step 3: Hot Rollers

Anyway, lets get back to this, so first thing is you're going to curl your hair, hot rollers whatever, so it's going to look a little messy. Who cares?

Step 4: Comb Hair

Then you're going to take your comb and your going to comb all of your hair to the side. You can decide to do like a little poofy thing right here, and it'll just give you some height, or you can just go to a ponytail, straight into it. So here we go.

Step 5: Smooth Hair Back

So I'm just going to grab it, make sure it's smooth in the back. Kind of have everything angled towards the side and brush it over. I'm going to put it in a ponytail. I like to use two of them at the same time and I like to get it right under my ear. Right on the side.

This is really great like if you were trying to have curly hair that day and it just didn't turn out and you want to show your curls because of all that hard work, but it just didn't get that right.

Step 6: Rubber Band The Hair

This is really great like if you were trying to have curly hair that day and it just didn't turn out and you want to show your curls because of all that hard work, but it just didn't get that right.

So, this is what you do. Now that you have it rubber-banded up, next thing is your going to take a bobby pin and your going to take a good amount of hair. Not too much. Like this, this is probably the max that I would take. I'd take a longer strand. Maybe this much is better.

Step 7: Fix Hair

All right, then you're going to take it and wrap it around your hair. And what you're going to do is, you're going to strategically have this end on the inner part of your hair. So you're just going to keep going around and around until you have that end on the inside.

Super simple. Then you're going to take your bobby pin, see if I can show you, and you're going to go right through this part that you've twisted and right through your rubber band. And you're going to hide it on the underside of your hair. So I won't be able to show you exactly how I do it, but I can show you on the outside.

Step 8: Bobby Pin

All right, so, here is your rubber band and your hair is going to be wrapped around all of it then you're going to take your bobby pin and imagine your hair, "I can't do it", wrapped all the way around here. You're going to take it and you're going to go right through the rubber band as well and pull it all the way in. So this is going to be what it looks like in here, but underneath so that you can't see the bobby pin.

And then you got this nice, tight ponytail. You can do pigtails, you can do it up here, you can do it back here, wherever but it will be nice and tight, just like that! And that's pretty much it! Thanks again for joining me here at Pursebuzz.com.
