Top Tips
- When writing a love ballad, the melody is the most important part. It should have some kind of romantic movement to it, either through the chord sequence used or through the movement of the melody itself.
- The title should be simple. Other people should be able to relate to the song personally, so be careful about making it too personal.
- Pop songs from the 50's used to have the structure 1-4-5, but a lot of modern pop songs add the 6th to make the structure 1-6-4-5.
