Jeans That Fit: Pear Shape
The right pair of jeans can bring out the best in any woman's figure. But finding jeans that fit, let alone flatter, can be tough. Here we show you how jeans can maximize a curvy bottom half.
Step 1: Cut
The pear-shaped body type has a small bust and wider hips and thighs, usually with a small waist and ankles. A straight leg or slim bootcut will keep legs looking lean. (Pss- A slim bootcut is between flare and a straight leg.)
Step 2: Color
Look for a dark, clean wash. Too much fading and distressing will widen your shape.
Step 3: Fit
Look for jeans with a contoured waistband to prevent any gapping at the waist. Stretch denim can also help. And consider leaving the jeans long and wearing heels to lengthen your legs and entire silhouette.
Step 4: Style
Stay away from patch pockets. Instead, look for jeans with clean lines in front and not a lot of detail in the front or back pockets.
