Step 1: Kung Fu Stances
Hi, and welcome to "Kung Fu Fitness." I'm John Spencer Ellis, your instructor. All right, we'll go over the stances and the very first stance in Kung Fu Fitness is the horse stance; the arrow stance; the light stance; the steel stance; the pressing stance; the fighting stance.
Step 2: Punches
Let's go over the fundamental punches: a straight punch; the circle-block punch; the Pavel block, the upper cut; the hook punch; the twist palm.
All right, let's move on to the palms. There are various ways of doing the palm strike. We're just going to do the straight and the cutting palm. All right, three fundamental elbow strikes: the cross, up and back.
Step 3: Kicks
Moving on to the kicks: the shin kick, the toe kick, the cross kick, the crescent kick, the heel kick, the side kick, the front snap-kick, the thrusting kick, the knee kick.
