LG Viewty Overview Video Tutorial
A quick overview of the LG Viewty (KU990) showing you how to use the external controls of the device and what each one does.

Step 1: The LG Viewty (LG KU-990)
Hi and welcome to mobilephonetraining.co.uk. Today we are going to discuss the LG Viewty, or the LG KU-990. It's LG's offering to a three inch touch screen device that offers superb multimedia functions.
Step 2: The External Controls
As you can see, that's the back of the phone which looks just like a digital camera. Some of the external controls of the device are quite cool. You've got pretty much just the three buttons at the bottom here. You've got the call, clear, and hang up keys. The rest of this here is all touch screen. That's your video camera there to do video recording. Along the side very similar to the Sony Ericson K850i, if I bring it here into the light you can see you've got camera, video camera, and a gallery switch, which pretty much resembles a digital camera, which is absolutely fantastic. Then you have your lock and unlock keys, as well as your image stabilization key, and your big silver key is your action key, the one that you press to take camera or start doing some video footage. Those are the only external controls on the device. As well as that you've got a switch here which is your one port for all set. It's like a cover, it slides across. It's much more robust; a lot more easy than the LG Shine, and it's a very good device. That's the external controls of the LG Viewty.
Step 3: The Jog Wheel
One thing you'll probably notice, for those of you that haven't seen this before, is that it has a unique jog wheel on the back of the device. This allows you to zoom in and out of photos, web pages, and even helps you scroll through the actual phone's menu system. So bear that in mind. That's just on the back. It's the ring around your digital camera that allows you to scroll in and out. We'll be showing you how to use all those functionalities on this fantastic new device. So that's the basics of the LG KU-990.
Step 4: Haptic Technology (Subtle Vibration)
Oh, not to forget, in addition to the LG Prada, when you touch the screen on the LG Viewty it gives you a subtle response, and that is what's known as haptic technology, and that's the vibration. It's a subtle vibration the handset gives. I'm going to be going into detail about that, about how to change that, the strength of it, and even the type of vibration, because the LG KU-990, or the Viewty, gives you plenty of personalization functionality.
