Introduction To The LG Viewty
-
Welcome to mobilephonetraining.co.uk. This is tip two. It is a part of the setup process for the LG KU-990, also known as the LG Viewty. Something that's different from the LG prior is that the Viewty now has the ability to have touch calibration done. It's the ability to teach the handset how you touch the screen. Now, we do realize that people with left-hand and right-hand touch the screen differently, but, more importantly, because the handset comes with a stylus you can teach the handset how you touch, either with your finger or your stylus.

Step 2:
-
Get Into The Touchpad Calibration
-
So, we're going to show you how to get into the touch-pad calibration. So as always, with the LG Viewty you have your unlock keypad on the side here. You press that twice, once to bring the phone to life, once to unlock the pad. Then you go into the menu, at the bottom there, then you go into settings, then you also have to go into phone settings, which is just there, and then you have to scroll, and how you scroll is you hold your finger and flick. If you want to scroll down you have to flick up and if you want to scroll up you flick down, and then you see there touchpad calibration, just there, so you tap it.

Step 3:

Touchpad Calibration

Now it has this flashing 'X' in the middle of the screen and you have to tap the middle of the 'X' wherever it is on the screen. So we're going to do that so it learns our sense of touch with our fingers. And then the handset will ask you to save your settings. Press 'Yes' and it has now saved your sense of touch that it will now act more responsively to your sense of touch, and you should instantly see how the handset is, so this is a really good thing with the LG Viewty, or the KU-990. It's definitely a big improvement to the LG prior. So that's it for mobilephonetraining.co.uk. That was tip two, which was touchpad calibration.
