London: The Nag's Head Pub

Step 1: Why's it so good?

Located in a quiet mews not far from busy Knightsbridge is this unique and unspoilt old pub. It's wooden frontage looks like a Dickensian shop, and inside the décor is like an beer shop with bare floorboards and wooden panelling.

Mobile phones are banned to keep the atmosphere cosy and pleasant. Curiosities adorn the walls including old-fashioned penny-operated arcade machines and ice-skates.

The pub is quaint and tranquil, a very pleasant place to enjoy a drink and the take in the atmosphere.

The Nag's Head offers good simple pub food at reasonable prices, and real ales.

Strangely enough because of the old bar, the bar staff actually serve from a much lower level than the customers.

The Nag's Head is located at 53 Kinnerton Street, in Belgravia. The nearest tubes stations are Knightsbridge or Hyde Park corner, both on the Piccadilly line.
