Make-Up Tips For Men: How To Brighten Your Eyes

Make-up artist Jo Reid shows you how to make the most of your eyes using under-eye concealer Make-up artist Jo Reid shows you how to make the most of your eyes using under-eye concealer

If you have deep set eyes or dark circles under your eyes, an under-eye concealer with light reflecting properties will help to make them look brighter.

Apply the product around the edges and under the eye.

Use a concealer brush to blend towards the nose, up towards the eye and down towards the cheekbone, until any blueness has disappeared.

The problem with my deepset eyes is that they are so dark, makeup just makes them look a weird grey :S Also I have pretty dark skin so its very very difficult to find a concealer to match my skin tone.

i have used these for years now. wear the concealer alot when i go out, make such a difference i am not gay not that it matters. Guys want to look good to and i dont think it should be such an issue if they do wear make up. i used to use 4voo but found there products to be very feminine and over priced. I found a company just the other day when i was searching called Myego cosmetics love the name they do a good range of products. link to there site: www.myegocosmetics.com

My friend tried to do my makeup, I ended up looking more girly than I already do. Yet what I got from the experience is that being a man means I can use cover up and some enhancing utensils (though this time I'll experiment with the stuff first by myself, see what looks more manly). I mean, why should women be the only ones to make-up or rather fix-up their face. (Don't think for one second celebrity men aren't doing all of this times ten, were just going to have to walk the walk of shame and buy makeup on our own)

My second post: Yes I do like the Golden Beige and I like to let the Classic Ivory set and dry under the eyes just a bit before dabbing a bit of Golden Beige on top. Don't forget to put the GB on the eyelids. You don't want to get too much powder on the puff before dusting the face. It takes just a bit of time but is worth the great result and the nice tanned, healthy look. It is just three makeup items and I travel nowhere without them. After I shower and shave it goes right on no matter what.

I think it's great that guys are getting braver. I do think though that guys should enhance their features rather than add pink or blue eye shadow like women, nothing wrong with using and making the best of what you have, and it's in no relation to beng gay either.

I had a girlfriend in the eighties who said I should lighten the skin under my eyes with makeup. She put it on and I was hooked. I have used makeup since. I shower and smooth Loreal Golden Beige liquid with SPF 17 sunscreen lightly on my moist face. I then lighten my under eye area with Cover Girl Classic Ivory 110. I then dab some Golden Beige on top of the Classic Ivory to make a good match and lightly powder with Cover Girl 115. It is a great look that is undetectable by others when done right. I am always looking good even on those I'm tired and haggard days after long nights.

not as gay as your small mindedness. I use make up, am a guy, and have a girlfriend who's a model. So get your facts right before you rant off about things being 'gay'. it's all down to personal preference
