MANGA DRAWING: How To Apply Ink, Tone and Shade

Hi, my name is Laura Watton, my website is pinkapplejam.com. I am a co-founder of SweatDrop studios, I've been an illustrator in Manga Star for almost fifteen years.

I am going to reduce the opacity so that I find it easier to ink over. Now, I've got all these features in place, I am going to place my inks over the character. As you can see, I am adhering as close as I can without being too restrictive.

Tone is just sheer black and white, but these are dots. There you go, that is adding inks and tones and shades to your original black and white drawing. .
