Jessica Coffey loves her horses but they don’t live on a farm, her horses Rally and Ruby get to hang out in her house. It's a downsized version of a normal horse.
Rally is an American miniature horse. A special breed of equine bred to grow to weigh less than a 130 lbs. Miniature horses are kept as pets and can be house trained like cat or dog. Like full size horses, minis come in different body types, draft, quarter horse, and even Arabian.

Are they good pets?

Jessica Coffey: They are fun, they don’t take up lot of room, and as long as getting along well with our other pets, they both get along really good with the dog.
Bred is a novelty, miniatures were first seen in the royal courts of 16th Century Europe. Minis were also used in coal mines as work horses. These days, most miniature horses lead the good life as well kept pets.

Miniature horses generally have good temperaments. However, they do require care beyond that of an ordinary pet. Miniature horses must receive vet care from an equine doctor. They do need room to run around such as a large backyard.
One bale of hay usually lasts a month.Jessica Coffey: All the qualities of a horse without having to clean up after him as much, without having to fear him as much. Everything is really downsized.
