Music celebrations are popping up all over the industry. Awards, announcements and reunions. Music news is coming up next!
Hi everyone! Straight from Get-the-Daily-dot-com, I’m Dana Ward with all your music updates.
Step 1: Music Awards
Music celebrations are popping up all over the industry. Awards, announcements, and reunions. Music news is coming up next.
Step 2: Music Rumors
Hi everyone, straight from getthedaily.com I'm Dana Ward with all of your music updates. In case you haven't heard Fallout Boy's Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson announced their engagement just last week.
While the tabloids have been reporting that the 23 year old is pregnant, Wentz cleared the air and denied the rumors with a quick email to MTV. The music Mecca says Wentz wrote that the baby claims are crazy. Congrats to the couple.
Step 3: New Kids On The Block
And another reason to celebrate: These studly boys from The New Kids On the Block released last week their first group pick in the last 15 years.
The now adult kids announced a reunion tour filled with new and improved tracks, but we're hoping to catch a rendition of "Hanging Tough" somewhere along the way. Cheers to Joey, Danny, Jorday, Donny, and Jonathan.
Step 4: Award Show
Awards shows are always a cause for celebration, too. The Country Music Television Awards aired live Monday night from the heartland of country, Nashville, Tennessee. The annual show was hosted, appropriately, this year by Billy Rae Cyrus, and his daughter, Miley.
Step 5: Musical Performances
The fan voted production was jam-packed with fabulous musical performances by the two Cyruses, winners Alison Kraus and former Led Zeppelin guy Robert Plant, the nominated Keith Urban, and a handful of other talented musicians. Even Snoop Dogg showed up in a cowboy hat to introduce Alan Jackson's performance.
Step 6: Best Music Video
And as far as the actual awards go, the best music video of '08, which is the award of the night went out to a young Taylor Swift, for "Our Song." The 18 year old says she wrote the song in highschool for a talent show.
Leanne Rhymes and Bon Jovi's "Nothin' Better to Do" took home the collaborative video of the year, and you remember Kelley Pickler from American Idol, she took home three wards and actually thanked AI for launching her career.
Step 7: Country Winners
Some other country super-star winners include Brad Paisley, Rodney Carrington, Sugarland, and Trace Atkins. For the winners breakdown, go to www.cmt.com. Thanks for watching getthedaily.com I'm Dana Ward, with all the latest in the music world.
