This is a god awful film to watch but the thing to remember is that it can happen in any country, at any time. The people who did this, and I don't mean the Hitler's and the Goering's, but the ones who guarded the camps and did the dirty deed of murder were plain regular people. People just like us. We can hate the Nazi's, the Rwandan Hutu's, and any other group which has committed such crimes all we want, but it's a fine line between us and them. Imagine if the leaders of our country decided we should hate left handed people and used all available resources; radio, television, and the Internet, to convince us that hating the left handed was the best thing for ourselves, our family, and our country. Our children would be taken to special summer camps and taught to despise the left handed. Our ministers would give sermons and tell us how the left handed are responsible for all the world's evil. Lose your job today? We know who to blame... that left handed guy down the street. He's different from us. His whole family is different. Get a new job with people who hate the left handed. That way we have friends and we can get even... Goebbels said it himself, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." The Germans believed the Big Lie, don't believe you can't be made to believe it also.

To all the ignorant people trying to compare the Israeli-Arab conflict with what the Nazis did --- SHAME ON YOU!!! You have no idea what you are talking about here. Learn the history!!!. There was no conflict there! This was an organized, systematic cold- blooded murder of millions of people. Women, Children, Seniors (those who couldn't work at the factories). At first they took all their possessions. Even their names! they became numbers, tattooed on the arm. than they started to systematicly murder more and more. It was a real DEATH FACTORY of helpless people. They were testing and improving different ways to increase their death yields and lower costs. The Nazis didn't consider the Jews as human beings. The Jews were conceived as animals (all documated). Their lives had no value to the Nazi's eyes (homosexual and jypsies too). It wasn't stupidity fear, or anger. It was pure, insane hatred. It wasn't a conflict over land. or vengeance! When these people were murders they were completely helpless. They had absolutely nothing but the mere weak sick starving breath! and just like that they were slaughtered !!! not like soldiers that know that their famiies are safe! dying while seeing your whole family and lineage murdered with you. And all that i wrote here is just the tip of the ice of what these people have been through. We cannot understand the horror they expireienced. so please give them this "small" honor for they have suffered enough! DON'T TRY TO COMPARE, DON'T TRY TO EXPLAIN, just watch the movie, try to imagine yourself what they have been through, and give them respect for they have shown us upon their flesh what "humans" are capable of.

Dear God. Civilization did this only 60 years ago. What are we capable of?

Every nation that fights is guilty of war crimes. Look up the 'Dachau Massacre' some time. US troops arming jews who then took out a lot of the camp guards. That's just flat out retaliation. Look at the Israeli's, using tanks and rockets on the camps in the Gaza strip to try and get ringleaders of the 'terrorist' organizations that thrive there. I'm not tooting the Nazi horn, I'm just stating that no one is perfect.

maybe you should realise that the Palestinians would deny Israel the very right to exist if they could and that the type of terrorism that has struck London, New York and Madrid in the last couple of years has been common place in Israel for years. And the nazi generation is all but dead so what are these perceived issues 'jews' still have with germany? If the Jews did still hold any animosity towards Germany don't you think black people, gypsies, homosexuals and any other minority you could name would share them?

Maybe the jews should respect Palestinians and sort out their issues with Germany.

Hard to watch, a sobering reminder of what wer are capable of.....
