Parkour: Turn Vault

The Turn Vault may sound difficult, but VideoJug is here to make it easy. Learn the basics of this Parkour move and you too will soon be out practising this amazing urban sport.

A turn vault involves approaching a railing and placing one hand turned backwards and the other forward. The athlete jumps over the railing turning 180 degrees as they do so, landing with the feet on a lower ledge. They can then drop the remaining distance. This is used to get from a high level to a low level, but provides a break in between which shortens the distance and lessens the impact.

Please note that the techniques shown here are intended as examples of Parkour moves, as opposed to being actual 'tutorials'. They are performed by a professional athlete. Beginners and less experienced people wishing to get into Parkour should seek out an academy to learn from the professionals.
