Perception Of Colour

With the help of our artist Maggy Pishneshin VideoJug is here to help you look at how colour appears to be affected by distance and how we perceive colour. This is a great film for any budding young artists out there.

Colour is always less intense less vivid, particularly in landscape compositions, the further away a subject is.
Start with the distance, middle distance and the foreground.
There is always less detailing in the far distance dilute a slightly darker tones.
Begin with the lighter to the darker tones.
