Pilates Abs Workout
In this VideoJug presentation, a Pilates instructor demonstrates some quick simple Pilates exercises that are great for exercising your abs. Perfect for beginners, these exercises are easy to understand and perform.
I am going to show you some ab exercises, some easier and some harder. They will certainly work your abs.
The first exercise is not strictly an abdominal exercise; it is about moving your arms, keeping your chest relaxed, and your neck relaxed. This is a harder version. And then we will lift the head up, and we will extend the legs, and we will make it even harder. This is called "The Hundred". Make sure that you do not make it so hard that you cannot relax your chest and relax your neck.
"The Single Leg Stretch". Keep your shoulders still, keep your pelvis still. The arms just guide the legs. Don't hang on the legs.
Scissors - send the leg up to the ceiling and then towards you. Lengthen upwards and then towards you. Don't let the bent leg bend, pull it up, out of the joint towards you.
"Double Straight Leg Stretch" and have a little rest at the end.
Throughout all those exercises, make sure your tummy is really going in, you are using your pelvic floor and your tummy muscles throughout.
And that is a quick Pilates ab workout.
