Step 1: You will need

Step 2: Fit the pole

Before you begin pole dancing make sure your pole is securely fitted according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Give yourself lots of space and ensure that there is nothing obstructing your movement.

Step 3: Don't use lotions

Never pole dance wearing oils or lotions as these make the pole slippery and hazardous.
You may need to wipe down the pole too before you start to remove any grease and give you maximum grip.

Step 4: Stretch

Always warm up and cool down properly when you are pole dancing; and check that you are fit and healthy enough to start this physically demanding exercise.

Step 5: Grab the pole

Start with the pole on your weaker side. Place both hands on the pole in a baseball bat grip with your inside hand above and your outside hand underneath. Engage your abdominals for extra upper body support.

Step 6: Swing around

Take a step on your inside foot and swing your outside leg around the pole to give you the momentum to start moving around the pole.

Step 7: Spring up

Pull up with your hands so that your arms take your whole weight. At the same time, spring up off your inside foot, and aim to catch the pole between both knees.

Step 8: Spin

Allow yourself to spin down and around the pole, gripping it between your knees, and land on both feet.
If you find you stop halfway down the pole, try again, this time relaxing your grip with your hands!

Step 9: Stand up

To finish off, push your hips back and raise yourself into a standing position.

As a General Manager of one of Montreal Quebec Largest Female Strip Clubs. The infomation provided here on Pole Dancing is top rate. They teach safety here e.g. wipe pole down before you start, never use lotions or creams on your hands or body parts. This is great information. You'll enjoy your experience as will your viewers. I watch all of these pole videos looking for a flaw, none found. The girls in my night club all do what is being show here. GOOD JOB. Oh one thing, if after you find yourself sweating, take a quick shower. themanfromcl@hotmail.com
