Quick Tips On Dieting

Quick tips on dieting. Ever dreamt of looking like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie- well here's your chance. Videojug provides quick and easy tips to get that dream figure.


Step 1:

Don't go on a diet change your diet

all you have to do is eat less, eat better and do more.

Step 2:

Change the way you shop

Instead of buying a lot of ready made meals, try fresh ingredients and cook yourself, it's fun

Step 3:

Eat smaller portions

The important thing is to have moderate portions of food, say about the size of the palm of your hand

Step 4:

Try something new

biscuits and chocolate are out, but seeds and nuts are in, once you get used to it it's brilliant, no more guilty feelings.

Step 5:

Get help and support

The BBC website has a really sensible section on losing weight, I've learned a lot and it helps give me the confidence to know I can actually change my relationship with food, that means my life is changing too
Fruit and veg is the best thing to eat, they say you should eat five portions of a day

Step 6:

Get moving

You don't have to go to a gym, you can exercise anywhere, walk rather than drive, walk rather than taking the bus

Step 7:

Don't skip meals

It's important to eat regular meals, especially breakfast, because if you don't your energy levels will drop and you will be tempted to eat the wrong things at the wrong time.

Step 8:

Drink plenty of water

Drink plenty of water, at least 6 glasses a day. Sometimes when you think that you are hungry, you might really be just thirsty. Keeping body's water levels up stops you from craving food when you are not really hungry.

Step 9:

Cut down on alcohol

Booze is fun but it contains lots of calories which the body store as fat, so, limit your drinking.

Step 10:

Breaking your diet is normal

You are allowed to indulge yourself once in a while eat healthily most of the time.

Step 11:

Reward yourself

This is, pretty much, the best way to diet. Fad diets where you can't eat protein or carbs aren't good for you and as long as you can summon up the will power to do to this - and let yourself go JUST OCCASIONALLY - it's the healthiest way to lose weight. I lost 5 stone doing this last summer, and I'm doing it again this summer to lose the last little bits. Great advice, the only hard part is getting the will power together.

The advice is basic common sense and the presenter is annoying and patronising - awful!

Really helpful and easy to follow. Oh and she's not that bad either! I saw from the credits her name is Nancy and I presume she's a Brighton girl. Anyone know how I could get in touch with her? I've fallen for her hard!!!!!x

I also eat lot of veg. but unfortunately I like sweets also e.g. biscuits and sometimes chocolates what can I do
