This is a great recipe for the Italian classic, carbonara. We’re using some Quorn ham style deli pieces, which are going to add a great element to this dish. I’ve got my spaghetti cooking off, cooked to the package instructions, which is just going to take another three or four minutes. In the meantime, I’m going to put my sauce together. So, into a bowl, I’ve got two eggs. It’s just so simple. To that, I’m going to add some vegetarian hard cheese. You can use parmesan for this dish if you like, some nutmeg, which adds a lovely flavor, and also some creme fraiche. So, get that out. Just give that a quick stir, bring that all together. There you go. Just one more element: some finely chopped parsley which adds some beautiful color to the dish. Just get that in, look at those colors. Our pasta’s ready now, so I’m just going to drain that off. I’ve got a bowl here that I’ve drained the pasta into, so I’ve reserved some of the cooking water. Okay, my pasta’s cooked now, and I’m just going to return that to the pan. In the next stage, I’m going to use some of my Quorn deli pieces. I’m actually using the smoky slices for this recipe because I think it really adds something to the dish, but the normal Quorn deli slices are just as good. And these will just be added to the pan. If you do have any leftovers, they’re absolutely great for sandwiches. And now, I’m going to add my Carbonara mixture to the pan. And that just gets stirred around, stirred through the pasta, just very quickly, just to combine everything. And now at this stage, it’s a little bit kind of sticky, and what we can do is add a couple of tablespoons of our cooking liqueur, just to loosen it all up. Okay, let’s just give this a quick stir, and then we’re done. Quorn Deli Carbonara. Absolutely delicious.
