L.C, I think the 7th was when this clip was broadcast. There is no claim by VJ that it was launched that day, although the title is a little misleading!

I have to say that the Sputnik (first artificial satellite) was launched on the 4th of October 1957 not on the 7th. Check the facts first! L.C.
