As soon as this situation occurs, sit down and share any feelings of concern with your partner without arguing. Listen to each other, and acept that you need to do budgets and organise exactly what kind of amounts are available to spend on fripperies and non-essential items, but realise that you both need to have room to spend money in your own way.
