Step 1: Opening the Device

Remove the 2 screws on the back of the Garmin 260W using the tool provided by NewPower99.com. Gently pry apart the device using the “shim” tool provided.

Step 2: Replacing the Battery

Disconnect the original battery and remove. Insert a new, extended-life battery from NewPower99.com, ensuring the red wire faces up.

Step 3: Closing the Device

Snap the Garmin Nuvi 260W shut and replace the two screws.
