Have you ever wanted to play the guitar? This easy to follow tutorial talks you through some of the basics of rhythm patterns. Watch our tutorial to help teach yourself the Guitar.

Before you start to play check that your guitar is in tune. Watch our other films on how to tune your guitar, if you are unsure.

Play changing rhythms between 2 bars at a time and changing chord bars at a time e.g. use D minor, passing over to play a C.

Practise on the D minor down down down up down up …. On the C practise down down… and then back to D minor.

Once you are familiar with them practise moving from chord to chord, so that your notes do not have any buzzing or humming sounds. The progressions should sound fluid and smooth with practise.
