Robinho Step-Over
Welcome to the Videojug Soccer School, brought to you in association with the Brazilian Soccer Schools. In this film we show you some how to do the Robinho step-over
This move is a great way to beat a defender and give yourself space to shoot.
Take your foot in front and around the ball. Swap and do the same with the other foot. Keep the circle around the ball as small as you can and keep your foot low.
Do step-overs but this time alternate the foot you use. One with the right and one with the left.
Continue doing alternate step-overs with each foot. try doing five on each foot.
Now try and use the skill to beat a defender. Do two step-overs and push the ball forward with the outside of your boot.
Bring a defender in to play against and use the skill to beat him. Do the step-overs just in front of the defender drawing him in before putting the ball past him. Practice going past the defender both ways.
Perfecting this skill will mean you'll have great opportunities to shoot once you've beaten your man.
