Step 1: My Challenge To Your
My goals in these series are to entertain you and to educate you about these modalities as wants to give you a set of tools that you can actually use to make rapid changes in you life and in your lifestyle.
Perhaps you've wondered if hypnosis could help you to quickly make life altering changes to build a better life.
Knowledge is power. So, before you start using hypnosis, it would be best if you learnt the truth about what it can and what it cannot do.
I've designed my series of video tips to help you learn how to use the amazing power of hypnosis through a mostly awesome power of your unconscious mind to break bad habits, overcome addictions, and build a more peaceful stress-free life. This topic is Hypnosis 101 and this is Chapter One - The Basics.
Step 2: The Science Behind Hypnosis
In general, hypnosis is characterized as a state of increased relaxation where the conscious mind becomes subdued and ideas and suggestions can be introduced to the unconscious more easily. Hypnosis is the alpha level of consciousness. You pass through this daydream like state as you fall asleep at night. And you pass through it again as you awaken in the morning.
Step 3: Unknown Hypnosis
Research has proven that if you watch much television, you're in this alpha state for 2/3 of you viewing time. If you have ever watched a sad TV show and reacted with a tear in your eye, you've been hypnotized by the television. You entered a state of increased suggestibility where you uncritically accepted the suggestion of sadness on the TV screen and reacted with a sad emotion, your tear. In other words your reasoning ability, which is contained in your conscious mind, was bypassed. You did not reason that what you were watching on the screen was just a play or a show. You accepted the action as being real, so you reacted with real emotion.
You have been in hypnosis many times without even realizing it. For example, often when you are driving, your conscious mind becomes enclosed and forth and then after few minutes all of a sudden you realize, that you haven't been paying any conscious attention to your driving and your amazement if not only haven't had an accident, but you've managed to take the correct route and arrive in your destination.
Step 4: The Next Chapter
In the next chapter Hypnosis 101 - Chapter 2 I'll tell you exactly who can be hypnotized and who can't. And I'll let you in on all the crazy misconceptions that people have about hypnosis.
If you would like to see the next chapter in these series right now or move on to one of the other topics that I cover in my videos, like appetite suppression and weight loss, or how to quit smoking, or kick the smokeless tobacco addiction, how to build self-confidence or even how to overcome irrational fears, then you should know that I host the self-hypnosis video blog, where you can easily access all of my free videos in one centralized place.
