Speed Date The Candidate: Barack Obama
Is Barack everything you're looking for?
Hi I'm Barack, tall, handsome and married, but open-minded.
I no longer smoke or inhale.
I'm more helper than tax cutter. I support public education but charter schools are cool.
Church and state? Separate.
I'm up on affirmative action and civil unions, down on gay marriage, support the death penalty but want alternative sentencing, and alternative energy.
I'm pro-choice, pro-trade but pro-labor, pro-Patriot Act but anti-torture, pro-immigrant rights but also pro border fence.
I wouldn't have authorized the Iraq invasion; just trust me.

A clearing up of Semantics. Pro-Life: If one is pro-life, then you're for life. You are against killing. Pro-Abortion- you are for killing children that are unborn or before the 3rd trimester. Pro-Choice: you are for the choice of killing your unborn child or allowing the child to live. Anti-Abortion: you're against abortion. But don't mind killing others. Thus a better definition for those who are against abortion. Pro-Life is a BS term. If your want to be against abortion, then say it. Don't come up with some arbitrary term that doesn't mean anything. If you're pro-life, you're against killing. If you're pro-abortion, you believe in killing unborn children. If you're pro-choice, you're for making the decision. If you're anti-abortion, you're against abortion, not killing. You're either against abortion or you're not. There is no third party that one can claim him/herself feel better. I'm Pro-abortion and I'm pro-choice. Although I believe in killing babies, I don't think they should all be killed before they are born. As for GeneLives, Death Penalty is not something you can support if you're "pro-life"
Response to GeneLives... That depends on the media you pay attention to. Conservative radio stations make it a point to say that Obama is pro-abortion, so he does get labeled inaccurately. Obama has made it clear that he is not pro-abortion, he is pro-choice (and there is a difference!!!). In terms of McCain's beliefs, he has come to the conclusion that abortion should be banned except in the case of rape, incest, and/or if the life of the mother is in danger. How he gets labeled on the "Roe v. Wade" issue can be ambiguous; it depends more on how people define anti-abortion and pro-life; some people consider the definitions equivalent.
So McCain gets called "anti-abortion" instead of "pro-life", but Obama gets to be labelled "pro-choice?" Yeah, no bias here.
Obama voted AGAINST the 2006 Marriage Protection Amendment (S.J.Res. 1), which proposed an amendment to the Constitution that would ban gay marriage. Think about that.
Well Obama has his personal beliefs on gay marriage that he must uphold due to his religion. But marriage shouldn't be an institute of the government in the first place. If marriage did not exist, would you really invent it and say to your spouse, "Baby what we got here is so good we need to get the government and lawyers in on it to regulate it." Marriage should be an institution of religion, for thats where it mainly comes from. Look at the following video on Obama's belief of gay marriage, it's a bit more than the blunt ideal that he's just against it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73oZ_pe1MZ8
I'm pro-Obama, but what's with the anti-gay marriage thing? Not very democratic of him...
Not really open minded if you're down on gay marriage.
By the way, Root graduated Columbia University with Obama. The only difference was that Root learned something while he was there. Obama supports putting people in prison for using and dealing drugs, but under his own admission, he used drugs frequently when he was young. Root never used drugs, but he has the integrity to oppose the drug war on the basis that it violates individual property rights. Root also opposes sending poor inner city minorities to jail for gun ownership (that is, for exercising their basic right to self defense). Obama wants to jail them, and throw away the key. Obama is a total hypocrite! The dollars in your wallet aren't enough for Obama, he also wants "change" (and that's all that that empty slogan means, because he stands for nothing but big government's steady expansion into your life). If you vote for Obama (or ClintonII or McCain), you deserve the result of voting for Obama (or ClintonII or McCain). To hell with all of these uneducated police state sympathizing Obama supporters. I hope they get what they're asking for (a brainless form of Stalinism).
Obama: just another socialist parasite. I'm voting Libertarian this year ( http://www.rootforamerica.com ), because I know that votes for collectivisits like McCain, Hillary, or Obama can destroy a nation. I know that when individuals give up their gun rights (and property rights), they lose their lives more frequently. I've studied history and philosophy, have you? McCain, Hillary and Obama are all "anti-gun" and anti-freedom. Are you supporting them and their gulag, or Root and his free market? http://www.jpfo.org http://www.gunowners.org http://www.lp.org http://www.isil.org
this is a real leader. compared to what we have today,my dog would be better, but Barak ROCKS, hes the real deal. http://911review.org/search.html
