Spiritual Healing For Your Pet

If your pet is having a medical problem, and is not responding to traditional treatments, then maybe Reiki is the answer. This type of healing is related to both Tai Chi and acupuncture. It originated in Japan, and is a form a spiritual cleansing. Although not considered a traditional treatment for your pet’s medical issues, some people have found it to be very helpful.

Step 1:

Spiritual Guidance

Bonnie Donneley helps pets deal with anxiety, post-surgical pain, and arthritis. Bonnie is certified in massage for pets, but sometimes her hand never touch the patient.

Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy. Rei means 'of God' and Ki means 'chi'. Chi is what we all in our bodies and the animals have as well.

Step 2:

Reiki Explained

Reiki has similar principles to tai-chi and acupuncture. It originated in the early 1900's in Japan. practitioners believed that reiki allows energy to flow through blocked channels in the body. We have a spirit; animals have a spirit. And what it does is it integrates the universal life force energy and it promotes the healing.

Step 3:

Ailment

Doug Jordan's dog Charlie had a severe back ailment that resisted conventional treatment. Out of desperation, Doug decided to try something a little less conventional.

You don't always know what to make of it, because it sounds like something that has to do with great spirituality or great psychic ability or things like that. I guess the first point was when he stood, when he was even able to support himself for more than two seconds, it was a sign that something was progressing.

Step 4:

No Scientific Proof

Most vets do not believe in reiki. That's because there's no science to back it up. Reiki should never be substituted for traditional veterenary care, but it can be added as a supplement. If your pet is in pain and not responding to traditional medicine, consider giving reiki a try.
