Step 1: Our curly hair institute:
Welcome to our curly hair institute. We have been specializing in curly hair for over eighteen years and we have dealt with almost every type of curl personality. Today for Talene we are going to do a shape that's going to enhance the face shape and we are going to work with colors that are going to create dimension to each curl. When all the hair is the same color, you see a mass of curl; a mass of hair. By breaking it up, you are going to see dimension in every ringlet.
Step 2: Enhancing shine:
The one disadvantage of having curly hair is that it does lack shine. So you would like to use the color to enhance shine. The colors have to reflect light.
Step 3: Don't fight the curls.
Whenever we cut curly hair, I examine what the curls do and I never fight the curl. The curls are going to go where they want to go, and we always work with the way they want to go.
Step 4: Don't cut away too much.

Step 5: Curl Paper:
