A residential community specifically designed for pet owners. The Harmony Institue located near St. Cloud FL was created for people and their pets to live in harmony together. Harmony promotes socialization between pets and people and accommodated every kind of pet imaginable from ducks to dogs to horses. If you could design a residential community just for pet owners, what would you include? How about a big dog park, pet-friendly nature trails, and maybe even a custom bedroom for your dog. Now if what I described sounds like Harmony -- well, it is!
[Martha Lentz, Chairman Harmony Insitute]: "This is a human community in which pets are made to feel welcome and they are accommodated."

Step 2:
-
Where is Harmony?
-
The Harmony Institute is located about thirty miles south of Disneyworld, near a small town called Saint Cloud.
Harmony is a state of mind, I think. The community is growing beyond our ambitions or expectations.

Step 3:
-
Testimonial
-
Carla Poirier moved to Harmony last year. She loves the small-town feel of the community.
"Harmony is a place where you get to know your neighbors. It's a place for animals to have your animals interact with other animals."
-
Step 4:
-
What's there for pets?
-
One of the great things about the Harmony Institute is the homes, of course. You can custom design the interior to accomodate your pet. You can have things like doggy-doors built in, or even special pet baths.
Harmony also features horse stables, two gigantic dog parks, a golf course, several lakes, a planned pet concierge, and vet clinic. The Center for Community Health is studying how people can benefit from interaction with animals and nature.

Step 5:

Price:
-
So how much does it cost for a little piece of Shangri La? Single family homes are priced at around two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
