This is one recipe you won't regret trying when it comes to microwave cooking. It's crème brulee with rhubarb which is a beautifully textured dish.

This time we're going to do a crème brulee with this rhubarb. So, one thing about brulee really is it means burnt so that's why it's called brulee obviously, yes. And there are different ways of doing crème brulee, whether you do them shallow or high and kind of different mixes, but this one, we're going to do it with a really thick custard.

So, in a bowl here, rhubarb. To it, we add some sugar, okay. Now there, and we're going to add up some stem ginger, okay, and we're going to cook that in Panasonic microwave on medium heat for 4 minutes.

Four minutes first, after, you stir it and another 4 minutes. Make sure you cover it because you need to stew it. So, back in it, medium heat, we set and 4 minutes.

So, four minutes passed, check. So first, remove the plate we said earlier why we need another dish and it could be very very hot so you need to be able to grab on the bowl there. Bowl back, and back for another 4 minutes.

In the oven, seal, medium, and another 4 minutes. Now, we need to drain that as well so take the strainer of juice. Actually, this one is not too bad, nice colour, the rhubarb colour and the smell to it.

And my gosh, these are steaming. You can see the heat. So, we're going to fill the ramekin, so tray, nice spoon, so give it a bit more stir on the ramekin like that and same for that one.

We're going to put some custard so we took a really thick custard there and because otherwise, we won't get the brulee there that we need on the top. So as you can see, I've done two ramekins. Obviously, you've got enough to make about 4 to 6 ramekins so I'll just show in two there.

We're going to dust with icing sugar. Okay, so now, on top of the microwave there on grill 1 for 7 minutes. Very hot, so be careful obviously all the time.

You should have a nice colour of the brulee on the top. Beautiful smell. Beautiful brulee. .
