The Realm Of Bizarre News 3: Killing Fleas Organically

In this episode, Dr. Franklin Ruehl has a trivia question for all you Weird News fans. Along with facts about vacuum cleaners, dinosaur teeth, and Frank Sinatra, there's flying toilet paper.
-
Step 1:
-
The Question
-
What is the term for the killing of a flea?
Multiple choice, inverse alphabetical order. Is it: vulpicide
pulicide
muricide
or lupicide?
Now the only prize for the correct answer is one pat on the back, which you'll have to administer to yourself.
Which is a heck of a lot better than a slap on the belly with a wet trout!
-
Step 2:
-
Weird Fact Number 1
-
Now speaking of fleas, there's a new study from the University of Ohio that shows that vacuum cleaners actually kill fleas more effectively than pesticides.
Indeed, a hundred percent of adult fleas that enter a vacuum are killed and ninety percent of young fleas.
It turns out that the vacuum destroys their outer cuticle, which protects them, and they dry up.
So don't invest in poisons, get a vacuum cleaner to fight off fleas.
-
Step 3:
-
The Answer
-
Now for that trivia question, let's look at the four possible answers again.
Is the killing of a flea:
vulpicide
pulicide
muricide
or lupicide?
Is that your final answer, vulpicide?
No, it's pulicide.
For the record:
vulpicide is the killing of a fox
muricide a mouse,
and lupicide a wolf.
Just in case you're ever on that Millionaire show, or Jeopardy.

Bizarre News Number 1

Now, speaking of vacuum cleaners, there's a new discovery from Niger in West Africa of this critter right here, called, appropriately, the Nigersaurus.
He had a mouth like a vacuum cleaner. Five hundred tiny sharp teeth. Each main tooth was backed up by eight replacement teeth.
Now he had a very thin neck, so he couldn't reach up to the leaves to eat from trees; instead he ate grasses on the ground. They're calling him "the cow of the Mesozoic era."
Now, he lived 110 million years ago at the beginning of the Cretaceous period, was about thirty feet long, and five to ten tons in weight. Yes, the vacuum cleaner mouth dinosaur.

Step 5:
-
Weird Fact Number 2
-
Now here is Jude Law, the actor. He was recently celebrating his thirty-fifth birthday, down in Havana at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
In his room he claimed that he saw the ghost of Frank Sinatra at his minibar, and he was so terrified, so frightened, that he asked for a new room. Now it turns out others have seen Frank Sinatra in that very room.
Indeed, when Sinatra lived and once visited in Havana, that is the very room that he stayed in. So possible proof of the paranormal, from both Jude Law and Frank Sinatra.

Bizarre News Number 2

Now here is a TP tube in this regard.
A fellow in Des Moines, Iowa, who went out to check his septic tank because it had a clog in it. But he slipped in headfirst, with his legs hanging up, and he was crying for help for over an hour.
Finally his wife heard him and called the sheriff. Two deputies were able to extricate him, but imagine that, stuck in the septic tank for over an hour.
Now until next time, may the power of the cosmos be with you! Yes! Yes! Yes!
