The Realm Of Bizarre News 15: Demi Moore Gets Leech Therapy
It’s Ruehl-doph, the Red Nosed Doctor! But now the question: How do you feel about being an excellent conductor of electricity? Well, it doesn’t matter, because you are no matter what your opinion it. And Hank, better known as Henry the Eighth, joins Dr. Ruehl on this episode with information about his ex-wives, leaches, and Demi Moore. And for fans of the Vault of Strange Deaths, it’s back!

Step 1:
-
The Realm of Bizarre News
-
Welcome once again ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, to The Realm of Bizarre News. I'm your host, Dr. Franklin Rule, and we have right here the power sphere. Do you see that? Do you hear that? It actually is a plastic globe that has two metal prongs, and I complete the circuit by touching them. Of course, humans are excellent conductors of electricity. I can even use the side of my nose. Do you see that? There we go. And also my forehead. Very good there. Now, that sounds very eerie, perhaps like an extraterrestrial, or perhaps a ghost.
-
Step 2:
-
Henry VIII
-
Speaking of ghosts, we have Henry VIII. First, the trivia question. Let me extricate it from its paper prison, here. The question: "Who was Henry VIII's last wife." Number Six, multiple choice. Was it Catherine of Aragon, Catherine Howard, or Catherine Parr? Now, the prize, the only prize for the correct answer, one pat on the back that you'll have to administer to yourself. Heck of a lot better than a slap on the belly with a wet trout. Now, here's Henry VIII, "Hank," as we call him around here. Just recently, at the Samlesbury Hall in Lancashire, England, a woman was there about 9 p.m., visiting in the priest room. Two other guests just left when she sensed an eerie presence. Now, I want to stress she did not see anything, but felt there was something supernatural there and began taking cell phone photos. When she developed them the next day, she saw what appeared to be the image of Henry VIII.
-
Step 3:
-
Other Hauntings
-
Now, the curator says that they've had other hauntings there, but not of Henry VIII. However, back in October of 2003, at the Hampton Court Palace in London where he reigned supreme, security cameras apparently caught his image, a ghostly image, and that was possible evidence of existence beyond the grave. Other apparitions there have included Jane Seymour and Anne Boleyn, two of his ex-wives. Now, whether these are actually images of Henry VIII or some other spirit, they certainly argue scientifically for the possibility, again, of persistence beyond the grave.
-
Step 4:
-
Catherine Parr
-
Now, for the trivia question of the day. Once again: "Who is the sixth and final wife of Henry VIII?" Was it Catherine of Aragon, Catherine Howard, or Catherine Parr? You're absolutely right; it was Catherine Parr. Catherine of Aragon was the wife he divorced, which led to his excommunication from the Church. Catherine Howard he had beheaded. Yes.
-
Step 5:
-
Demi Moore
-
Now, here are some leeches. Perhaps scarier than ghosts. Demi Moore, the actress, recently went to an Austrian clinic for leech therapy. The idea is that they cause detoxification of the blood and make you feel healthier. And she says she actually feels great after the experience. Not for me, probably not for you, but for Demi Moore, yes, because she's what we call a "bdellophile," someone who likes leeches. Yes. Not you, not me, but her. Yes.
-
Step 6:
-
The Vault Of Strange Deaths
-
Now, let's open the Vault of Strange Deaths. Here's something also scarier than a ghost, possibly--a very bad goat. A pastor down in Montgomery, Alabama was trying to lead his goat who had left home with a rope, but the goat was angry and somehow managed to strangle the pastor. So, if a pastor isn't safe from a pet goat, neither are you. Don't try to force the pet goat home if you own one. Let it come home on its own. We can't afford to lose even one of you.
