Warm Up Drills

We've teamed up with England qualified boxing coach, Michael Gregory to show you how to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. In this film Michael shows you how to warm up.

Step 1: Warm Up

It is essential that you warm up first when you are boxing. Start with a little light jogging on the spot, shake yourself out, and then try some twists and light stretching.

Step 2: Skipping

Next up, try some skipping. Skipping is great for improving speed and co-ordination of both the feet and hands. It will improve your agility, and can provide you with a good psychological boost.

Step 3: Shadow Boxing

Finally, try some shadow boxing. Practise a few foot drills whilst throwing your hands in a variety of shots. You can do this in front of a mirror to simulate an opponent.
