Step 1: Chocolate

When heading into the wilds, take a supply of chocolate. This has a high energy value, and chocolate with nuts or raisins even more so.

Step 2: Nuts

A pot or bag or mixed nuts and seeds are also a fantastic source of energy.

Step 3: High energy drinks

High energy drinks such as lucozade are important. Even more important though is water, always take enough for a day, and a little bit extra if possible.

Step 4: Light meals

Buy some self heating meals for some easy and filling substance. Ensure you pack some light weight, durable camping cutlery for this.

good vid! though i would recommend less sugar in the diet. suger gives a sudden rush of energy. i'll admit you do need them now and again. but eventually you will "crash" which in its self can do more damage to your state of mind then not eating it.I would go with the seeds and ceral bars for snacks as they contain more carbohydrate's which gives you energy. the self heating meals are the best thing to happen to camping in the few years. you can even get self heating hot drinks. cheers video jug :)

The cutlery is a "light-my-fire" item - see: http://www.light-my-fire.se/engines/page___423.aspx I have one and find the curve goes the "wrong way" with the knife blade on top - I suspect the designer is left handed!
