Working The Punch Bags
We've teamed up with England qualified boxing coach, Michael Gregory to show you how to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. In this film Michael shows you how to work the punch bags.
When working the bags, start off by using a simple jab as a range finder. Tap with the jab, and then move in with the rear, moving your feet as you go. Throw a good mix of head and body shots. The bags are perfect for keeping fit, improving speed and foot work, and letting out aggression.
You should start by doing 4 sets at 2 minutes long each. You can then try 8 sets at 1 minute each. And then 12 sets of 30 second speed burts. This ensures that you developing your technique and stamina for all types of fight scenarios
Tips & Comments
wtf the boxer got his arms down even if ur just practising on a bag u still need to cover ur face in a real fight his head 'd of been knocked off
It means 8 one minute rounds. As in one minute constant punch bag work with a break in between (usually one minute break) 8 times. 12 second speed burst would be a burst of hard and or fast punching non stop for 12 seconds.
You could've taught us some drills. I have no idea what's a "8 one minute" or "12 second speed burst".
