Hi, I'm Rene Millman, editor of Absolute Gadget, and today, I will be talking about the Xbox 360. In this video, we'll be going for a guide to Xbox games. The Xbox 360 is primarily a games console, and we'll be going through the various genres of games that are available to the console that you may want to buy.
Amongst the most popular genres of games on the Xbox 360 are the first-person shooters. In these games, you normally look at the world through the eyes of the character and shoot up a load of baddies as well. One prime example of this on the Xbox 360 is the Halo games.
Another popular genre is the, what's termed Sandbox games. Here in these particular games, the character is pretty much free to explore the world and there's no one particular set mission that that character has to perform, but rather that there are numerous amounts of missions and events which you can experience, or play, and it's very much a world where you are immersed in that world and you have hours of fun playing it because there is so much to do in those particular games. A good example of such a sandbox game is The Grand Theft Auto series, this is Grand Theft Auto 4 and of course with a title like that, it's no surprise that it's caused a lot of controversy since its release.
Sports Games are also very popular on the Xbox 360. There is a title for every sport you can think of, or every major sport there is. Amongst the most popular are the football games.
Two notable examples there are the Fifa franchise and Pro Evolution Soccer. On the horizon for the Xbox 360 is a device called connect. This device does away with game controllers and can actually use you as a controller itself.
Popular for these devices are dancing games and fighting games where it looks at you and works out your movements and that controls how the game is played. There are a lot of games out there for the Xbox 360 and it will be up to you to find out the game that works for you and you enjoy playing the most. And that's a short guide on the Xbox 360. .
