FRONTLINE is THE fleakiller for cats & dogs, works 100%. normally available from the vet, but probably online too. you wont need to use any other soaps, sprays etc. costs around £18 but definatlly works, so cheaper in long run than buying cheaper products that are useless.

the debate goes on and on. fleas i have suffered with them too. what i have found that worked. the water you are bathing him in make sure it has a dose of flea soap too. first flea bath, use a soap that kills the flea adults, larva, eggs and possibly ticks. put the soap on their snout ears and tail and down the middle of the back. lather it up while you are waiting out the time grab your flea comb if your pet store is out of them use a lice comb. comb every inch of the dog to remove unwanted hitch hikers. by the time your done combing the dog the the recommended time should be up. rinse very well to get rid of the ones you missed. you can relather if you wish. repeat weekly for one month. in between baths, comb your pet and spray with flea killer or use a powder which ever you prefer. if you have rugs in your home, shampoo your rug the same day you bath the pet. i went out and bought one for the purpose. if only one or two pets you dont need to buy one just follow my next step. spray the carpets and pets laying areas with a flea killer daily. at night use a powder , leave it on the floor all night. vacuum first thing in the morning(makes sure uncaged animals are kenneled for the night.) repeat daily for the first two weeks then work the treatments apart till you dont need to do it any more. each time you vacuum CHANGE THE BAG!!!! most important part of the job. place the bag in a walmart bag or small plastic garbage bag. spray the inside of the bag and close it air tight. get it out of the house. even if it means you leave it at the nearest mcd's outside garbage can. this will help great. follow this proccess and you should not have a problem with fleas again. now the secret to keeping them away. treat your dog to a dinner, cook rice, oatmeal, barley, GARLIC, BLACK PEPPER, ONION, PAPRIKA, GINGER, PARSELY, OREGANO, couple others i cant remember. put oil in it too. cook tlll the foods are cooked( try to have it more firm then liquid. fed to your dog daily. you can also place the oatmeal ,barley and rice(cooked) and the spices into a biscuit for them. just feed them the mix daily to start with and once the spices and stuff get into the pets system, you wont need to give it to them daily maybe every other day or every three days. and the biscuits will be easier. make a bunch ahead and place them in a safe area that will keep them fresh. they can be frozen if them dont come out hard. the combination of food and bathes will remove fleas. how i found out. i had 12 hunting dogs, that were our family pets. i couldnt afford the dog food and the dog food scare was happening so i started cooking my own. the dogs never had a flea and they were out side often. infact they never had a tick either. after the food scare was over i started buying the food for them and saved my time.(from cooking). i noticed a month or so after the dogs were getting fleas and ticks. and i had to go through the process explained above. i have done this with cats too. good luck and hope it works for you. oh and you can put garlic power with a couple other spice powders, directly on the dog into the skin and it wont hurt the pet.
