THANK YOU for your very helpful response... just received it. I did have the general idea, but it was the assembly that I hadn't quite got right. I like this sort of food ... great for someone with a poor appetite. I am 80 and diiabetic, and my main interest is in collecting cookery recipes. Unfortunately I cant eat most of them, so wraps are an excellent way to make a tasty and healthy snack. Best wishes ... Jan C.

Wraps are one of the most easiest things in the world to make, Janet. I do not know of any salad and seafood wraps I have seen but I would think it easy to improvise. I always use the large wraps to make wrap sandwiches, they come plain and flavoured and are like giant tortillas, they can be found in the bread area of your grocer. You could use any cooked seafood you like - squid, prawns, fish - i would think you could grill it, steam it, whatever. You could cut it into pieces, or chop it into smaller pieces and mix it with some salad cream. Tuna would also make a delicious wrap, drained from a can and mixed with a bit of minced onion and mayo or salad cream. I make wraps by spreading the meat of choice across a wrap, laid flat on a cutting board or other work surface, across the bottom of a wrap nearest you a few inches from the edges of the bottom and sides. Not too much as it will squish out when you bite into it. You could just above this add a few torn lettuce leaves, some fresh herbs, chopped scallions or onion, thin slices of cuke, whatever you like. Just take care when making wraps things are not spiky or in big chunks that will tear through the wrap when you are eating. After filling to your liking, turn the few inches at each side you have left free of filling in with each hand tucking it over the filling, then turn the bottom of the wrap up tucking it over the filling firmly, then just roll firmly and tightly (but not crushing the wrap) away from your body until the entire wrap is rolled. You can then slice this on an angle (that makes it look inviting) and serve. these travel well and make good packed lunches and there are endless combinations. if this didnt help or you are looking for a more specific idea janet, please let me know..
