I am a swimmer and have to shave all the time. I also wax. I get shaving bumps and often the ingrown hairs. I found a product called Follique. It works as good as anything else I have tried and I love it because there different product forms as well..

Lever 2000 in the shower with a loofa. Then Vitamin E right after the shower. Almond Oil before bed.

Use a loofah or body mitt in the shower a few times a week. Moisturise once you are out of the shower, while the skin is warm and still slightly damp after towel-drying.

Shave in the direction the hair is growing. And it helps if your blade is new. It really works for me.

I get ingrown hairs on my legs, and in my armpit area. I use BikiniZone, which is a Topical analgesic gel, and its active ingredient is Lidocaine, which helps skin irritation. It works pretty good, but not as good as I had hoped. You might want to try it, you can get it at Walmart, Target, or any Pharmacy.
