It's a matter of choice but most Asian women in Asia aren't into the "Westernized" eyeshadow look, even if they've gotten their eyes surgically altered to get the double eyelid. I like to wear eyeliner close to my lashline & fill in so the eyelashes look fuller & not wear eyeliner on the bottom for most day looks. I've tried the smoky eye look with the contouring, etc. and it does create a nice nighttime look for going out. Saw the how to create brown smoky eye and do not recommend it. Looked unnatural; unblended; color tones were wrong for Asian skin. Just a thin line will do. Do not put eyeliner at the bottom, just mascara will do. Make sure you curl your eyelashes to open up your eyes. Don't use heavy mascara because the eyelashes might droop. Use colors liek light blue and light pink or light purple for the eyeshadow. Where the fold ends is often not clearly defined either. I work at a spa and we do this quite often... The best before and afters have been on asian women becuase it is amazing how much this opens the eye.
