The comment below is obviously from someone extremly ignorant. Diets are NOT stupid, they are not all DIETS but a way of changing what and how you eat permanantly, re-educating yourself that you dont need to eat such large portions, that junk food should be an ocasional treat and that your body needs respect and re-acts depending what you put in it. You cant not expect to have a heart attack after years of abusing your body filling it up with fried food and burgers as your main meals for years on end. You shouldnt deprive yourself of a cake or suchlike, but it shoud be a treat rather than the norm. We eat far more than our bodies actually need and people from the third world could teach us a thing or two about healthy eating as they do eat all fresh produce usually straight from the tree, most have never tasted frozen or processed foods. Western countries have become spoilt for choice, lazy choosing not to prepare meals but opt for takeaways or microwave meals and greedy by over indulging needlessly stuffing their faces, just because they can or because the foods there, they then wonder why their so unhealthy they cant even run for a bus!

these diets are stupid. you CAN eat carbs, but you have to stay away from WHITE carbs ie white rice, white pasta etcetera. i stay away from all pasta actually but i measure out my brown rice, orzo, etc in an espresso cup as to limit my carb intake. FRUITS are carbs anyway so your "no carb" diets arnt actually carb free. and if u stop eating CARBS to lose weight, the second u put one back into your mouth you will blow up like a balloon anyway. STOP EATING PROCESSED FOODS too. if you wants a cake MAKE IT YOURSELF from scratch and only eat 1 serving- fat asses.

What you CAN eat are; unlimited steamed veg especially cabbage, brocoli, carrots, spinach. Breast of chicken no skin, grilled or oven cooked, lean steak brushed lightly with oil, grilled. Fish, grilled, or wrapped in foil cook in oven, steam. Tuna, prawns, boiled eggs, salads. Fruit, apples, pears, berries, juice these too for drinks and carrots. Drink also black tea, coffee, herbal teas. NO FATS, MILK, OIL. Granary bread with boiled/poached eggs, for breakfast along with fruit. The weight will fall off quick if you also take a daily brisk walk. this diet theres no rice, potatoes or pasta allowed. Good luck!!
