The Sangria that I drank this summer in Mallorca was with fruits(oranges and apples),red table wine,a shot of brandy, a shot of Red Martini and some Fanta Orange or Sprite. I really don't know if this is the original recipee, but it worked perfectly for me under the hot spanish sun!

don't!! But if you must the best way is to use a half way decent red wine and "Casera" a zero calorie sparkling drink used throughout Spain in resteraunts with red wind. If it's hot out and the casera is cold it's a winner. You shouldn't need loads of fruit if the wine is good. remember; use a half decent wine so you can taste it . The casera is almost tasteless and adds to it. If you do care for fruit, slices of watermelon, peach and anything not too acidic.
