How To Stop The Falafel Balls From Falling Apart Whilst Frying?

i tried making falafel balls by following the recipe as given , but when i began to deep fry , they began to fall apart and became soft, do i have to add loads more flour or maybe breadcrumbs to stop this from happening?

i tried flour and the canned chickpeas also soaking the dried ones over night with the same results. the outside started to cook and then the cooked part fell off leaving the middle to absorb the rest of the oil starting the process all over again until i had a mucky mess. i got consistent results with a very high oil temperature (400+ it started to smoke just a little) with both canned and dried beans. coating the balls in flour helped keep the falafel part together but the flour ended up in the bottom of the oil??? hope that helps

actually i am having exactly the same problem! looks easy on the video. Not sure if it has anything to do with the hotness of the oil. My falafels fell apart both shallow frying and deep frying!! help!
