If it is a ordinary rice cooker not electric one, add 2 -3 cups of water in cooker and place it in the stove. The rice or Dhal to be cooked should be placed in another vessel with required amount of water. Close the lid and put the wait on it. after 2 whistle keep the stove in off. after 15 to 20 min pull out the wait and the open the lid. That's it got it.
